Halo Concept Artist Releases Nifty Halo 3 Concept Art
Before there was Halo 3, there was the Annulus 3 conception art.
I've made no secret of the fact that I'm a huge sucker for concept art as a gross guidepost. I love sighted how the cool worlds of gaming and the characters that inhabit them came into being. I also birth ready-made no privy of the fact that I'm a pretty big sports fan of Bungie's Glory franchise. So I think it's completely understandable that I find the Halo 3 pieces being posted along the blog of creative person Isaac Hannaford pretty darn sweet.
Now, many of these pieces aren't "concept art" as we think about it: Aside the meter Halo 3 rolled around, everybody already knew what the Master Chief, Cortana and the Covenant looked like. In that location is some exploratory concept work regarding the game's environments (and now I'm having flashbacks to "Cortana," a muscular contender for the worst level in the entire Halo series), but mostly IT's just cool sketches and action mechanism shots of the brave's roll. Some of them were intended for use on the halt's manual operating theater ti novels and comic books, but for some reason or other ne'er made the cut.
I'm a pretty big fan of the picture you see Hera to the word-perfect, which was one of the early concepts for the Halo 3 manual of arms cover, says Hannaford. A he says, the sketch does an excellent speculate at putt the Master Chief's superhuman size into circumstance – just look at how he's towering over all of those regular UNSC Marine Corps. That's what happens when you stick a seven-foot super soldier into power armor, I guess.
